At the invitation of Chinese Premier Li Qiang, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh is leading a high-level delegation to the 8th Greater Mekong Subregion (GMS) Summit from November 5-8, 2024. On this occasion, he will also attend the 10th Ayeyawady-Chao Phraya-Mekong Economic Cooperation Strategy (ACMECS) Summit and the 11th Cambodia-Laos-Myanmar-Vietnam (CLMV) Cooperation Summit and hold working sessions in China.

Prime Minister of the Czech Republic Petr Fiala is paying an official visit to Vietnam from April 20 to 22 at the invitation of his Vietnamese counterpart Pham Minh Chinh. The trip is the first to Asia by Prime Minister Fiala since he took office at the end of 2021 and the first by a head of the Czech Government to Vietnam in 15 years.

Vietnam has played an active role in the Mekong River Commission (MRC) since the mechanism’s inception, and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh’s attendance at the fourth MRC Summit in the Lao capital Vientiane on April 5 will continue to express the country’s respect for the commission.
